I love handbags. I prefer sewing a handbag over sewing a skirt. For some reason it's just easier for me. So, I have found some tutorials on Pinterest that I'd love to share with you.
I have to try this one out because I have been wanting to learn grommets for a while. I think it would bring a nice touch to a tote bag.
I tried making something similar to this one but I believe my studs weren't strong enough because they fell out.
Foldover clutches have gotten really popular. I made one before but it did not come out the great. either I need more practice or it's just not for me.
I can't decide if I love the fabric they use the most or the technique. It's actually pretty simple. Love this little pencil pouch.
Hope everyone has a Happy Monday!

I agree , they are great !
ReplyDeletehappy Monday to you too .
Tote bag! I have a serious tote bag addiction. And I have fabric up in my studio that I could probably use to make that. (Not that I need *another* one...)

One can ALWAYS use another tote bag. I really like the first one best.
ReplyDeleteThose are some great tutorials. I really really need to break out my sewing machine and actually learn how to use it, lol.
ReplyDeleteThese are fun! I love those pencil cases and recognize the fabric - Loulouthi from Anna Maria Horner :)
ReplyDeleteI started out with sewing bags and gradually moved into clothing. I still love bags though!
Oh, that fold over pouch is cool! And I agree with everyone else - totes are always handy.
ReplyDeleteI'm into the foldover clutch trend myself. I got one off Etsy that I love. However, I find myself not using it much because I can't stand not having straps! Maybe if I could find one that converts into a longer purse. Great finds!
